Get Involved

The development of your leadership skills and capacities begins with personal initiative and self-awareness – understanding your passions, motivations, strengths, limits, and personal values. The process is on-going, and the pursuit of leadership requires perseverance, and a commitment to perpetual learning. Through it all, you should practice your skills as much as possible through becoming involved. Illinois Leadership allows you to decide where you want to get involved, when it works for you, and how involved you want to be.

Each of our five i-programs is offered various times during the year; register for one that meets your schedule (but register early as our programs fill up quickly).

The Leadership Certificate program is open to all students interested in furthering their leadership skills. There are no prerequisites for enrolling in the program – simply log in to submit a Statement of Intent and résumé through the “Certificate” link on the main Student page.

Leadership consulting is available to any RSO or other student groups. Just stop by the Leadership Center and complete a Leadership Consulting Request Form, telling us more about the needs of your organization.

With your i-card, you can check out any book from our Cavenaugh Leadership Library, as well as other leadership resources.

And all at no costs!
